Guwahati, 14th March: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, speaking at IIT Guwahati, expressed her elation over a momentous occasion for the Northeast, particularly Assam.
She underscored that while many nations aspire to partake in the semiconductor value chain, Assam has achieved this feat.
Sitharaman hailed this achievement as a significant historical moment, symbolizing a milestone for the Northeast region of India.
During her address at the Viksit Bharat Ambassador Campus dialogue held today, the Union Finance Minister emphasized the importance of Assam’s accomplishment in securing a portion of the semiconductor value chain.
State Minister Ajanta Neog and Rajeev Ahuja, director of IIT-Guwahati, were also in attendance at the event.
