Assembly Polls: JP Nadda visits Manipur
Guwahati: JP Nadda, the National President of Bhartiya Janata Party reached Manipur for a two-day visit to discuss plans for the upcoming assembly polls in the state.
According to reports, Nadda arrived at Imphal on Thursday late night along with the Union Minister and the election in charge of Manipur Bhupendra Yadav.
Meanwhile, BJP’s national general secretary (organization) BL Santosh who is already in Imphal on Wednesday is going to join the BJP
booth-level and other poll-related meetings.
In Imphal, Nadda will meet with sports figures and ex-servicemen.
It should be noted that Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, had stated that the BJP will retain power in Manipur in the 2022 Assembly elections.
He stated that after the BJP took control, the frequent blockades, shutdowns, and other disruptions ceased, and a new development objective began.
Elections to the 60-seat Manipur Assembly, as well as Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Goa, are expected to take place in February-March next year.
