ATM fraudster gang busted in Assam; 4 Haryana based men arrested
Guwahati: Four persons have been arrested by Rangia Police in Assam for allegedly involved in Automated Teller Machine (ATM) thefts.
According to reports, the State Bank of India (SBI) ATM on the route linking India and Bhutan was looted on June 2 by robbers from Haryana.
Reportedly, the thieves had robbed Rs 30 lakhs from the ATM.
However, trucks were utilised by the thieves to steal money from the ATMs.
After robbing the ATM, the four thieves fled to Haryana and was hiding there.
Meanwhile, the Rangia Police had launched significant search operations to nab the culprits.
Reports further stated that the thieves have been caught in the police net after conducting extensive searches.
The four thieves have been identified as Nisar, Nasim, Mohammad and Gopal.
Moreover, cash worth Rs 29,68,000 have been recovered from their possession.
