Authorities Capture Notorious Human Traffickers in Assam’s Bhogpur

Guwahati, 6th May: In a significant breakthrough, authorities apprehended two notorious human traffickers in Bhogpur, Assam, on Monday, thwarting their attempt to illegally transport a group of youths to Arunachal Pradesh.

The duo, identified as Fakir Uddin and Mijanur Rahman, had been scheming the trafficking operation for some time, but their plans were foiled when vigilant locals became aware of their activities and intervened. The incident unfolded in Bhogpur, situated near the Narayanpur taluk within the Lakhimpur district of Assam.

According to police officials, suspicions arose among the locals when the accused traffickers came into contact with the youths, arousing concerns about their intentions. Through conversations with the youths, the locals gathered crucial information about the traffickers’ plans, enabling them to apprehend the suspects before they could execute their scheme.
