Avoid sensitive content on social media related to Assam-Mizoram border: CM
Guwahati: After a week since the violence broke out at the Assam-Mizoram border, Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga has urged the people of Mizoram to refrain from making any sort of controversial statements on social media related to the border disputes.
The statement by the Mizoram Chief Minister came after a discussion with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
In a tweet, the CM wrote, “As per telephonic discussion with Union Home Minister and Assam Chief Minister, we agreed to resolve the Mizoram-Assam border issue amicably through meaningful dialogue.”

An NDTV report stated that as of now, both Assam and Mizoram have entered into a fresh negotiation and talks related to the entire situation to de-escalate the situation in the borders.
The centre has further asked the states to withdraw their personnel from the border and the situation in the area will be under the control of central forces. Further, steps to restore the movement of essential and emergency goods as well as services in the area.
