Bajrang Dal activist killed in Karnataka

Guwahati: A 26-year-old Bajrang Dal activist was stabbed to death in Karnataka’s Shivamogga district, while the government imposed prohibitory orders for two days and declared a vacation for schools and institutions on Monday, after the tension.

Harsha was allegedly assaulted by unknown perpetrators on Sunday night in Bharathi Colony’s Ravi Varma alley, they claimed.

Some colleges in the area, which is about 250 kilometres from the state capital Bengaluru, were recently disrupted by the hijab row.

The reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.

Following the incident, several activists of Bajrang Dal took to the streets to vent their rage. They were seen throwing stones on television, but it was unclear what they were aiming for.
