Guwahati: Guwahati police arrested a Bangladeshi national with a false passport on Saturday in Paltanbazar.
According to reports, the Bangladeshi national was apprehended at the Paltanbazar bus station as a result of intelligence reports.
Police also arrested an agent who is accused of helping the defendant enter the country illegitimately using a fake passport.
The identities of the duo have not yet been established.
Meanwhile, police filed a complaint under the appropriate IPC sections.
