Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina Sends Delicacies to Tripura CM as Gesture of Friendship

Northeast Desk, 27th June: In a gesture of goodwill and longstanding ties, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reciprocated Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha’s gesture by sending a generous gift of 400 kg of Haribhanga mangoes, 50 kg of Hilsa fish, and 50 kg of rasgulla to Tripura.

This exchange occurred through the Agartala-Akhaura Integrated Check Post, highlighting the historical and cordial relationship between Bangladesh and Tripura.

Md Rezaul Haque Chowdhury, First Secretary and Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Agartala, expressed happiness over the exchange, noting the deep-rooted connections dating back to before 1971.

He emphasized the robust relationship between India and Bangladesh, predicting further growth and strengthening in the future.
