BCCI Confirms Resumption of IPL 2025 from May 17, Final to be Held on June 3

Mumbai — The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially confirmed the resumption of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, setting May 17 as the date when the tournament will return to action following a mid-season break. Cricket fans can now look forward to 17 high-octane matches spread across six venues, culminating in the grand finale on June 3.

The updated calendar includes two Sunday double-headers, promising back-to-back thrillers for viewers. As the league phase moves towards a tense finish, all eyes will be on the playoff fixtures, which are now scheduled as follows: Qualifier 1 on May 29, the Eliminator on May 30, Qualifier 2 on June 1, and the grand final on June 3. While the match dates are confirmed, the BCCI has stated that the venues for these crucial games will be revealed in due course.
