BCCI Extends Contracts for Head Coach Rahul Dravid and Support Staff of Team India

Sports Desk, 29th November: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the extension of contracts for Head Coach Rahul Dravid and the Support Staff of Team India (Senior Men). The decision comes after fruitful discussions following the conclusion of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

Acknowledging Rahul Dravid’s instrumental role in shaping the Indian Team and commending his exceptional professionalism, the BCCI unanimously agreed to extend his tenure. The Board also expressed appreciation for VVS Laxman’s exemplary roles as Head of NCA and stand-in Head Coach.

Roger Binny, President of BCCI, praised Dravid’s vision, professionalism, and unyielding efforts, stating that the team’s performances are a testament to his strategic guidance. Binny expressed delight that Dravid accepted the offer to remain Head Coach, emphasizing mutual respect and shared vision.

Jay Shah, Honorary Secretary of BCCI, reiterated the confidence in Dravid, citing Team India’s top ranking in all formats and their extraordinary World Cup campaign. He pledged full backing and support for Dravid to ensure sustained success at the international level.

Rahul Dravid, Head Coach of Team India, reflected on the last two memorable years, expressing pride in the team’s culture and resilience. He thanked his family for their sacrifices and support and appreciated the BCCI’s trust, endorsing his vision and providing crucial support.
