Prez Murmu signs the condolence book before the funeral for the Queen
Guwahati: President of India Droupadi Murmu signed the Queen Elizabeth II condolence book on Sunday at the Lancaster House near Buckingham Palace in London.
Rashtrapati Bhawan announced on Twitter that President Droupadi Murmu had signed the book of condolences at Lancaster House in London in honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
In addition, in Westminster Hall in London, where the queen’s casket is lying-in-state, President Murmu paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.
President Droupadi Murmu visited Westminster Hall in London, where Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II’s body is lying in state, earlier, according to a message from the president’s official Twitter account. In her own name and on behalf of the Indian people, the President paid respects to the deceased.
It should be mentioned that President Murmu will be visiting the United Kingdom on an official basis from September 17 to September 19 in order to attend Monday’s state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II and express condolences on behalf of the Indian government.
For the Queen’s funeral, she had flown into London’s Gatwick Airport on Saturday.
