Bengaluru-Based composer, Ricky Kej Wins his Third Grammy

Guwahati: Bengaluru-based composer Ricky Kej received his third Grammy nomination this year for his album Divine Tides, which was up for the Best Immersive Audio Album award.

He received the honour jointly with the Police’s legendary drummer Stewart Copeland.

Kej now holds three Grammy Awards making her the only Indian to do so.

“Just won my 3rd Grammy Award. Extremely grateful, am speechless! I dedicate this Award to India. @copelandmusic Herbert Waltl Eric Schilling Vanil Veigas Lonnie Park,” he tweeted.

It is noteworthy because Ricky is only the fourth Indian and youngest person from India to have won a Grammy Award.

The drummer and founding member of the British rock band “The Police,” Stewart Copeland is an American musician and composer who has won five Grammy Awards.
