Bhupendra Patel Takes oath as CM Of Gujarat for 2nd Term

Guwahati: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Bhupendra Patel took the oath of office as Gujarat’s Chief Minister on Monday.

Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath at the helipad ground inside the new secretariat building in Gandhinagar this afternoon.

Kanubhai Mohanlal Desai, Rushikesh Ganeshbhai Patel, Patel Raghavjibhai Hansrajbhai, Balvantsinh Chandan Singh Rajput, Kunwarji Mohanbhai Babariya, Mulubhai Haridasbhai Bera, Kuberbhai Mansukhbhai Dindor, Bhanuben Manoharbhai Babariya, Harsh Rameshkumar Sanghvi, Jagdish Vishwakarma, Purshottambhai Solanki, Khabar Bachubhai Maganbhai, Mukeshbhai Patel, Bhikhusinh Parmar, Praful Pansheriya, Kunwarjibhai Halpati also took oath in the Gujarat cabinet.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Ministers of BJP-led states.

The BJP gained a massive 156 seats in the Gujarat Assembly election, the most seats any party has taken home since the state was formed in 1960.

The BJP’s victory in Gujarat’s seventh straight Assembly election marks the party’s largest victory since the state was created in 1960.

Patel took the oath of office as Gujarat’s 17th chief minister on September 13, 2021. He won his first election as the BJP legislative party’s leader on September 12, 2021. He was elected as an MLA from the Ghatlodia constituency (Ahmedabad), where he started his political career as a member of the Memnagar municipality in the 2017 Gujarat assembly elections.
