Big B To File a Lawsuit Against Phishing Calls Made Under His Name
Guwahati: Amitabh Bachchan claims he would file a lawsuit in order to stop phishing calls made in his name.
The Big B made a comment on this in the earlier episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 (KBC 14).
While introducing the initial group of competitors, he began the first round of Fastest Finger First. Shreyas Sikchi a native of Pune won the round.
He received Rs. 320,000 for his pleasant discussion with the celebrity.
Throughout their talk, he acknowledged to him that he had put a call from KBC on hold because he believed it to be a prank or phishing call.
Shreyas asserted that Big B’s picture was included on all of the calls and conversations in which it was claimed that he had won Rs. 25 lakhs.
Shreyas asserted that he had previously gotten numerous calls saying that he had won Rs. 25 lakhs; each of these calls and conversations also included a picture of Big B in the advertisement.
Amitabh Bachchan expressed concern about the phishing activities using his name and images after learning about the situation and pledged to show it to a lawyer and take legal action.
The competitor went on to speculate that perhaps this is why so many people have trouble believing they have received a call from a genuine number.
He said, “Thank goodness the KBC call was returned and I investigated the source of the number, else I would have missed this opportunity.”
