Big news for rail passengers! Railways to run 32 special trains till Chhath Puja
Guwahati: The Indian Railways announced 32 additional special services for the convenience of rail passengers and to manage the increased volume of people during the festival season.
This year, Indian Railways is currently running 2,561 journeys on 211 special trains (in pairs).
The railways in a statement said that major rail links connecting locations like Darbhanga, Azamgarh, Saharsa, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Firozpur, Patna, Katihar and Amritsar will be connected by special trains.
“Railways has notified additional 32 special services to ensure smooth and comfortable travel for the passengers during this festive season, while 179 special services were notified earlier,” the Railways said in a press statement.
According to a statement made on October 17th, the Indian Railways have initiated a number of special trains on other routes for similar reasons. In keeping with this, the Reserved Festival Special Rajdhani Express train between New Delhi and Patna was recently announced by the Railways. It is believed that the new service will ease the increased passenger influx during festivals like Chhath Puja and Diwali.
Earlier, railways said that it would operate 82 special trains in October in anticipation of increased passenger demand. Traveling throughout significant holidays like Navratri, Durga Puja, Dussehra, Chhath Puja, and Diwali got easier, more enjoyable, and more convenient with the aid of this application. It was planned for these odd trains to travel a number of routes, making it easier to go around India.
