Guwahati: A woman gave birth to a baby having four legs in Bihar’s Gopalganj district.
According to reports, the woman was identified as Ravina Khatoon and she is a residence of Rewtith village in Baikunthpur block. Ravina was admitted to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) where she gave birth to a child.
Meanwhile, the doctors were shocked to see the baby have four legs and the health officials of the hospital further informed that the baby and the mother both are healthy.
Following the information of the child’s arrival in Rewtith village, a large crowd gathered at the PHC to see him.
For better care, the PHC doctors quickly transferred the infant to the PICU ward at Sadar hospital in Gopalganj.
According to Dr. Saurabh Agrawal, a prominent doctor at Sadar Hospital, such occurrences are rare, occurring once in a lakh.
“Apart from four legs, the infant’s symptoms are normal. On the front side, there are three legs and one on the back side. Such occurrences are most likely the result of a genital problem. We have forwarded the infant’s report to the civil surgeon’s office in Gopalganj “According to Agrawal.
