Bilasipara OC Transferred Over Violating Rules in ‘Gang of Devil’ Case

Guwahati: In a most significant development, the Officer-in-Charge of the Bilasipara Police Station in Dhubri of Assam was transferred with immediate effect on Wednesday.

The OC identified as Sanjeeb Das was transferred as a result of his claimed affiliation with the released “Gang of Devil” member who accidentally killed an elderly woman.

Das allegedly freed the suspect within ten minutes, which caused controversy and raised issues about the function of the local police.

Few unidentified criminals set fire to the motorcycles owned by the gang members that were captured earlier today.

The Dhubri Police arrested four people yesterday, including the person who caused the collision and the person who recorded the online-posted video gloating about it.

It needs to be noted that the Gang of Devil had posted a video on social media about how one of its members murdered a woman in a road accident.

The Gang of Devil describing the incident proudly had said, “This biker killed one and came out of lock-up within 10 minutes.”

“This is the power of Gang of Devil and now we are having party,” the group added.

The incident raised questions about the Bilasipara police’s performance.
