Guwahati, 3 May: Leader of the Bir Lachit Sena Shrinkhal Chaliha has been arrested again just hours after being released on bail on May 3.
Shrinkhal Chaliha, the leader of the Bir Lachit Sena was arrested by the Sivasagar police on May 2 in connection with the investigation into money laundering case.
Shanchal Chaliha was then granted bail by the chief judicial magistrate’s court.
As he was about to leave the Sivasagar district jail due to an old case, Shrinkhal Chaliha was once more taken into custody.
Yesterday, Leader of Bir Lachit Sena Shrinkhal Chaliha was arrested from his residence. A case was registered against the leader by Manik Chand Kedia on April 28.
Leader Shrinkhal Chaliha was arrested from his residence by the police. Bir Lachit Sena Leader Shrinkhal Chaliha was arrested for demanding donation for socio-cultural event.
A case was registered against Chaliha at the police station. According to FIR, Chaliha had spitted on the face of Manik Chand Kedia, a businessman for not paying additional taxes apart from Bihu donation (Bihu chanda).
