Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a birthday party in Guwahati’s Lachit Nagar area turned gory as a youth was savagely hurt in a dagger attack.
The incident was reported at Silver Inn Guest House in Lachit Nagar.
The injured youth identified as Ratul Barman suffered multiple injuries on his head, neck and chest.
He was brought to the hospital and was in critical condition.
Although the perpetrator of the assault has yet to be identified, local police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, an unidentified man’s body was discovered in Guwahati’s Noonmati Cabin Chowk neighbourhood.
The Noonmati police and the Government Railway Police (GRP) arrived on the scene and began an inquiry.
According to the early inquiry, the victim may have perished after falling from a train.
However, there is no conclusive evidence to back up this assertion.
The person’s body was sent for a post-mortem examination.
