Guwahati, 16th August: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Assam unit convened an important meeting with the presidents and secretaries of eight morchas on Wednesday, in response to the tragic death of Indrani Tahbildar, the party’s Kishan Morcha secretary. The meeting was held at the BJP Head Office in Guwahati’s Basistha.
During the meeting, many of the morchas’ presidents and secretaries alleged that the party had failed to maintain discipline within its ranks. The death of Indrani Tahbildar, who allegedly committed suicide after intimate photos with Anurag Chaliha went viral, has shaken the party and highlighted internal issues.
Anurag Chaliha, who was reportedly in an extra-marital affair with Tahbildar, was expelled from the party’s primary membership following her death. Chaliha was later apprehended due to his suspected involvement in the case.
The meeting reflects the party’s efforts to address internal concerns and maintain its organizational integrity in the wake of the tragic incident.
