BJP Convenes Strategic Meeting in Arunachal Pradesh, Charts Path for State’s Development

Northeast Desk, 9th July: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Arunachal Pradesh convened its first extended state executive meeting since the Lok Sabha elections 2024 at the Dorjee Khandu Convention Hall in Itanagar. The meeting, attended by prominent leaders including Union Minister of Commerce and Industries Piyush Goyal, Arunachal West MP and Union Minister for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju, and BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra, marked a pivotal moment for shaping the state’s future.

During the session, extensive discussions centered around strategic plans and programs aimed at fostering growth and development across Arunachal Pradesh. Key outcomes included the formulation of detailed roadmaps to align the state’s developmental aspirations with central government policies.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, BJP State President and Health Minister Biyuram Wahge, along with Home Minister Mama Natung, Sports Minister Kento Jini, and Tourism, Education, and RWD Minister PD Sona, were instrumental participants in charting the course for future initiatives. Chief Minister Khandu highlighted several schemes envisioned by the Narendra Modi-led government, emphasizing their potential to significantly benefit the state. Notably, initiatives targeting the enhancement of animal husbandry and fisheries sectors were spotlighted for their anticipated economic impact on local communities.

The meeting also saw the participation of Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul, Horticulture and Agriculture Minister Gabriel Wangsu, Forest and Environment Minister Wangki Lowang, Panchayat Minister Ojing Tasing, IPR and Labour Minister Nyato Rigia, and Urban Development Minister Balo Raja. Additionally, leaders and corporators from municipal corporations in Pasighat and Itanagar contributed to the robust deliberations.

As Arunachal Pradesh positions itself for accelerated growth post-elections, the BJP’s strategic gathering underscored a unified commitment to realizing developmental goals through collaborative efforts between the state and central governments.
