BJP Leader Shot Dead in Delhi’s Mayur Vihar
Guwahati: BJP leader Jeetu Choudhary was shot dead outside his residence at Mayur Vihar area in Delhi on Wednesday.
The incident took place at around 8:15 pm.
According to reports, the BJP Leader was allegedly shot by unknown miscreants. He was immediately rushed to the hospital but where the doctor declared him dead.
According to police, the officials on patrol duty noticed a gathering near pocket C-1, Mayur Vihar-III of Delhi at around 8:15 pm on Wednesday. Among the crowd, a victim was discovered laying in a pool of blood. The victim was later recognised as Jitender aka Jeetu Choudhary.
Reportedly, the victim had gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. However, he was declared brought dead by the health officials.
Following the incident, the police investigated the crime spot. A few empty cartridges as well as other key evidence have been recovered from the scene.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses are being sought by the police, and CCTV footage is being obtained.
However, further investigation into the matter is underway.
