BJP Legislator Diba Chandra Hrangkhawl Resigns From Tripura Assembly

Guwahati: Just a few months before the elections, Tripura-based BJP member Diba Chandra Hrangkhawl announced his resignation from the Assembly on Wednesday.

Hrangkhawl said that he resigned due to personal concerns when speaking to the media. However, he hinted that the actual reason will be shared soon.

He submitted his resignation before the Tripura Legislative Assembly secretary BP Karmakar as Assembly Speaker Ratan Chakraborty was not available.

Congress leader and former MLA Asish Kumar Saha was one of the leaders that accompanied the BJP lawmaker. His entry into Congress is now anticipated.

With his departure, there are now eight lawmakers who have resigned from their positions. The BJP represents five of them, while IPFT represents three.
