BJP National Executive Meet: PM Modi Asks party Workers To Organise More Events Like Kashi-Tamil Sangamam

Guwahati: Following the successful conclusion of the month-long Kashi-Tamil Sangamam programme for cultural unity in Varanasi last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited party members to plan similar events in the future for strong cultural national unity at the BJP national executive meeting on Monday.

According to reports, several non-political decisions were made on the first day of a two-day BJP national executive conference.

In order to ensure that all 50 states may exchange their cultures, civilizations and legacy with one another and the nation as a whole unites culturally in a single thread of togetherness, Prime Minister Modi emphasised the need for more programmes like the Kashi-Tamil Sangam.”PM also stressed that there should be an exchange of languages and culture between states,” reports said.

Other programmes, such as Mann Ki Baat where PM Modi regularly engages the public on issues of public interest and inspires them were also brought up, according to party insiders.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 30-day “Kashi Tamil Sangamam” in November of last year in Varanasi Uttar Pradesh.

The purpose of the event which reflected the importance of PM Modi’s “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” endeavours was to honour, reaffirm and rediscover the long-standing connections between Kashi and Tamil Nadu, two of the nation’s most important ancient origins for learning.

The attendants of the BJP executive meeting hailed PM Modi for firmly uniting the country via cultural heritage and cultural spirit, according to Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday.

During the press briefing, about the first day of the national executive meeting, Union Minister and party leader Nirmala Sitharaman told reporters that the Kashi-Tamil Sangamam, held last year was also discussed.

“Those who visited the Kashi-Tamil Sangamam have also been influenced and the program has also had an impact in Uttar Pradesh,” Sitharaman told media persons.

“And when the subject of Kashi-Tamil Sangam was discussed, the Prime Minister was congratulated for his cultural spirit to strengthen our heritage, whether it was the Kashi-Tamil Sangam or the fast progress in Ayodhya after the Supreme Court’s decision. Be it the progress in Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar temple, the revival of the Buddha Circuit, work going on at Ram Circuit, for all these works, PM Modi was congratulated,” Sitharaman said.

She claimed that the general public across villages and the nation actively participated as an act of service as a result of PM Modi’s non-political programme, Mann Ki Baat, where he included the general public with a permanent bridge. Whether it be “tree plantation,” building roads, transporting people to hospitals, or innovative photos, all these developments were discussed on the first day of the national executive meeting.
