Guwahati, 1st March: Assam’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finalized its list of potential candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. The list comprises several prominent contenders poised to represent the party across various constituencies in the state.
While the official announcement of the candidates is pending, the party remains optimistic about its electoral prospects and is gearing up for a robust campaign.
According to reports, the BJP is likely to nominate the following candidates for key Lok Sabha seats in Assam:
– Guwahati: Bijuli Kalita Medhi
– Dibrugarh: Sarbananda Sonowal
– Kaziranga: Kamakhya Prasad Tasa
– Jorhat: Tapan Gogoi
– Tezpur: Ranjit Dutta
– Darang-Udalguri: Dilip Saikia
– Karimganj: Kripanath Mallah
– Silchar: Parimal Suklabaidya
– Nagaon: Suresh Bora
– Lakhimpur: Pradan Barua

In the upcoming Lok Sabha election, the BJP is poised to contest 11 out of the 14 seats in Assam. The remaining two seats are allocated to its allies, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) for Barpeta and Dhubri constituencies, and the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) for Kokrajhar constituency.
