BJP Records Surge in Membership in Tripura, Reaches Over 11 Lakh

Tripura: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has seen a significant boost in its membership base in Tripura, crossing the 11 lakh mark. This marks a substantial increase from last year’s 6 lakh members, showcasing the party’s growing influence in the northeastern state.

According to BJP General Secretary Amit Rakshit, the membership drive has been a collective effort, with grassroots workers and state-level leaders actively participating to expand the party’s reach. “From grassroots workers to state-level leaders, everyone is actively engaged on the field to meet this goal,” Rakshit stated.

Of the total memberships, over 7 lakh have been registered through the party’s online platform, while approximately 4 lakh members joined via offline enrollments. This rise in numbers follows the BJP’s recent electoral win in Tripura, underscoring the party’s strengthened foothold in the state.

Chief Minister Manik Saha has played a pivotal role in the month-long membership drive, working closely with party cadres across Tripura. His involvement is seen as a significant factor in mobilizing support and expanding the party’s base.

Rakshit attributes this surge to the public’s faith in the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “There is strong faith in the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as both the state and central governments are working for the welfare of the people,” he remarked, citing the party’s recent electoral success as a reflection of this public trust.

The BJP is currently in the second phase of its membership drive, and party officials are optimistic about surpassing their targets, further solidifying their presence in Tripura.
