BJP’s Membership Drive in Tripura and Assam Sees Overwhelming Public Response

Northeast Desk, 23th September: In a remarkable demonstration of public support, Chief Minister Manik Saha congratulated the people of Tripura for their enthusiastic participation in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ongoing membership drive. Taking to the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) on Sunday, Saha announced that over 400,000 citizens have joined the party since September 3, underscoring the growing momentum in the state.

“Tripura joins the nationwide wave! Over 400,000 citizens have joined the @BJPIndia family since September 3, taking our membership drive to new heights,” Saha posted. He encouraged more citizens to join the movement, calling for further expansion of the campaign.

Meanwhile, in Assam, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal bolstered the membership drive in the North Bank region on September 20. Addressing gatherings in Dhemaji and Lakhimpur, Sonowal’s leadership resulted in hundreds of new members signing up during the day-long campaign. He urged the public to follow the path of “Sewa” (service), a core value highlighted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi since taking office as India’s “Pradhan Sewak” (chief servant).

The BJP’s membership drive has witnessed a strong response in the northeastern states, solidifying its grassroots presence ahead of upcoming political campaigns.
