Guwahati: The body of a 62-year-old man who went missing after being swept away by the swollen Singra River in Boko, Assam, has been recovered by rescue teams. The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday, June 18, when the victim, identified as Majendra Kakoti of Singra village, was returning home from his agricultural fields.
According to eyewitnesses, Kakoti attempted to cross the river when he was caught off guard by a sudden surge in the current. The force of the water pulled him in, and despite immediate alarm raised by locals, he remained untraceable until today.
