Guwahati: In a yet another shocking incident, a dead body of a minor girl was recovered from a rented house in North Guwahati of Assam on Monday night.
The incident was reported from Nayanpara area in Bhetamukh, North Guwahati.
The minor girl has been identified to be a resident of Sonaipur in Nagaon.
According to reports, it is suspected that the accused strangled the girl to death before fleeing the scene.
Meanwhile, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem.
Police officials said that few people were detained for questioning.
Further investigation is underway.
