Guwahati: The body minor girl, who went missing yesterday have been recovered from a river bank in Bongaigaon district of Assam on Thursday.
The body was recovered from the banks of Sompauti River at Jogighopa.
It is learned that the deceased was a Sayyed Ali and Khadija Parbin daughter.
The minor went to witness a local boat race on Wednesday when she went missing as part of the holiday festivities, according to reports.
Her body was discovered by locals today morning after which they informed authorities.
Police arrived on the scene later and recovered the remains for an autopsy.
