Body of Missing Tripura Man Found in Bangladesh
Guwahati: The body of a 48-year-old man who went missing a few days ago was recovered from a river in Bangladesh on Monday.
The deceased identified as Dwijraj Ghosh, who works as an e-rickshaw driver.
According to reports, Ghosh went missing on September 1 from Khowai district of Tripura.
Reportedly, Ghosh was found dead floating in the River Khowai with several damage marks visible all over his body.
It is suspected that criminals murdered Ghosh and dumped his body in a river, where it was carried downstream by the current and into a neighbouring country.
Residents of Shaistaganj in Habiganj district noticed the body on Sunday night and informed local police who recovered it.
According to the SP, a driver’s licence discovered in his pocket assisted in locating the body.
A post-mortem report will be conducted on the body after it is received, the police said.
