Bollywood Celebrities and Prominent Figures Unite in Praising Indian Army’s ‘Operation Sindoor’

Entertainment: A wave of appreciation has swept across India as prominent personalities from the film industry and other fields have lauded the Indian Army’s recent counter-terrorism operation. Dubbed ‘Operation Sindoor’, the military action targeted nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, including a significant Jaish-e-Mohammad base in Bahawalpur, according to an official statement from the Indian Army.

Leading the chorus of praise, actor Akshay Kumar took to his official X platform, expressing his solidarity with the operation by posting “Jai Hind. Jai Mahakaal” alongside the hashtag #OperationSindoor. Kangana Ranaut, the newly elected BJP Member of Parliament from Mandi, echoed the government’s firm stance against terrorism, stating on her Instagram Stories, “May god protect those who protect us. Wishing our forces safety and success. #operationsindoor.”

South Indian superstar Allu Arjun, known for his role in “Pushpa,” also voiced his support on X, saying, “May justice be served. Jai Hind #OperationSindoor.” Veteran actor Suniel Shetty emphasized the global rejection of terror, writing in an Instagram post, “Zero tolerance. Total justice. #OperationSindoor.”

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur offered a unique perspective, suggesting that India’s response to the Pahalgam terror attack demonstrates the nation’s “responsible and confident” approach on the world stage. He noted on X that “#operration_sindoor is a precise hit at territories and organisation that backed the horrendous terrorists that killed innocent civilians,” devoid of “the rhetoric of War.”

Adding to the accolades, actor Riteish Deshmukh exclaimed, “Jai Hind Ki Sena … Bharat Mata Ki Jai!!!! #OperationSindoor.” Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar conveyed his prayers for the armed forces, posting on X, “One nation, together we stand. Jai Hind, Vande Mataram.”

Nimrat Kaur, whose father was a decorated Indian Army officer, also shared her admiration for the forces’ bravery on her Instagram Stories, writing, “United with our forces. One country. One mission. #JaiHind.” Anupam Kher simply shared a post featuring ‘Operation Sindoor’ with the powerful caption, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai #OperationSindoor.” Singer Adnan Sami joined the chorus, posting “Jai Hind #OperationSindoor” on X.

This decisive action by the Indian Army comes two weeks after the devastating terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which ignited widespread condemnation both within India and internationally. Following the attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high-level meeting with top defense officials on April 29, granting the armed forces “complete operational freedom” to determine the strategy, targets, and timing of their response. ‘Operation Sindoor’ appears to be the result of this directive, drawing widespread approval for its swift and targeted approach.
