Bondona’s Accomplices Sent To Judicial Custody In Guwahati’s Twin Murder Case
Guwahati: The prime accused in the horrifying twin murder case in Noonmati of Guwahati Bondona Kalita’s two conspirators have been taken into judicial custody by the court.
Arup Deka and Dhanti Deka’s two-day police detention came to an end on Saturday, when they were brought before a court in Guwahati.
The prime accused Bondona Kalita was plotting to murder another member of her in-laws’ family, the Guwahati police discovered while looking into the twin murder case. Police made the startling disclosure, but out of respect for the person’s privacy, officials chose not to name the person who was in the Bondona area’s target area.
Arup Deka revealed to the police that Bondona had given him Rs 2 lakh in exchange for his assistance in the murder during the course of his interrogation.
The machete used in the twin cold-blooded murder case was sent for the forensic analysis on February 24. The Guwahati police were able to recover the razor-sharp machete from Bondajan beel during search activities that were started on Thursday.
It should be noted that Bondona Kalita, along with her two accomplices Arup and Dhanti, is the prime accused in the murders of her husband and mother-in-law.
The mother-son duo were killed, their bodies were cut into pieces, and the fragments were placed in a refrigerator for three days before the trio went on a rampage and disposed of the body parts in the neighbouring state of Meghalaya.
Many missing pieces of the deceased Amarjyoti Dey’s bones were recovered during search operations in Dawki of Meghalaya by the Guwahati Police.
