Border Area Students Ace Sainik School Entrance, 38 Qualify

In a remarkable feat of academic excellence, 38 out of 44 students hailing from the remote border regions of Jang and Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh’s West Kameng district have successfully qualified for the coveted All India Sainik School Entrance Examination. The results, declared on May 23, bring immense pride to these underserved communities.

This stellar achievement is the direct outcome of a comprehensive and impactful coaching programme, meticulously organised and executed by the Indian Army’s Gajraj Corps. The programme, which ran for nearly a year from July 2024 to April 2025, offered free, high-quality instruction to these aspiring young minds.

An official statement from the Army highlighted that the initiative was conceived to address the prevailing educational disparity faced by students in the country’s most isolated and disadvantaged areas. It was specifically designed to equip and empower them with the necessary tools to compete on a national platform.

The statement further elaborated that dedicated army instructors provided intensive academic training and unwavering motivational support. This holistic approach was crucial in cultivating the skills, discipline, and self-assurance required for these students to excel in a highly competitive examination.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) lauded the success, stating, “These brilliant young minds are the future of India. Their success is proof that talent knows no boundaries, and with the right support, even the most remote corners of our nation can shine.”

This unprecedented accomplishment serves as a powerful symbol of hope and unequivocally reflects the Indian Army’s steadfast commitment to nation-building through education, empowerment, and inclusion. The Gajraj Corps has extended its heartfelt congratulations to these young achievers and their families, reiterating its resolve to illuminate the path for many more to follow.
