Boxer Vijender Singh to return ‘Khel Ratna’ award if new farm laws not revoked
Indian Boxer Vijender Singh has threatened to return the ‘Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna’ award, the country’s highest sporting honour, if the Central Government does not withdraw the new farm laws. The Boxer said Vijender Singh said “if the government does not take back the “black laws”, he would request them to take back the ‘Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna’ award.”
Thousands of farmers from Punjab and Haryana have gathered at various Delhi border points for over a week, protesting against the new farm laws. The farmers have also called for a nationwide bandh on December 8.
