Bridge Collapse in Bihar Claims One Life, Injures Nine

National Desk, 22nd March: Tragedy struck near Maricha, located between Bheja and Bakaur in Bihar, on Friday morning as a section of an under-construction bridge collapsed.

District Magistrate Kaushal Kumar confirmed one fatality and nine injuries resulting from the incident.

The bridge, being constructed over the Koshi River, witnessed the unfortunate collapse, prompting the presence of senior administrative officers to oversee rescue operations.

In a separate incident, a two-story building in the Welcome area of northeast Delhi collapsed on Thursday, March 21, leading to two fatalities and one injury.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Joy Tirkey, the building’s first floor remained vacant while the ground floor served as a jeans factory. The collapse resulted in the demise of two factory workers and left one individual injured.
