BSF Foils Cattle Smuggling bid in Assam

Guwahati: The Border Security Force (BSF) has reported an operation that foiled an attempt to smuggle cattle in Cachar district of Assam on Thursday.

At least 23 cattle heads were rescued who were meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh.

The incident took place on Thursday near the Hilara area of the district when the cattle smugglers were on their way to Bangladesh.

Acting on specific inputs, the BSP troops rescued the cattle heads from three vehicles.

Director General of Border Security Force (BSF) Pankaj Kumar Singh had said that the border guarding force is using technologically advanced devices to stop cattle smuggling along the India-Bangladesh border.
