BSF Foils Trans-Border Smuggling Attempts in Tripura, Seizes Narcotics and Cattle
Tripura– Alert troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) have successfully thwarted multiple trans-border smuggling attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh border, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to border security.
In a series of operations, BSF personnel rescued three cattle and seized narcotics and other contraband items valued at ₹4,65,748. These operations are part of ongoing efforts to counter illegal activities in the region.
Earlier this month, the BSF acted on specific intelligence and intercepted a significant quantity of narcotics, including Yaba tablets, ganja, and Phensedyl, with a combined estimated worth of ₹27,86,233. This successful operation underscored the BSF’s vigilance in monitoring and securing the border against smuggling activities.
In a separate incident, BSF officers halted another smuggling attempt involving cattle and contraband items valued at ₹7,10,246. These consecutive successes reflect the dedication of the BSF to combat drug trafficking and protect national interests.
The BSF continues to bolster its efforts in maintaining border security and ensuring that illegal activities are effectively curtailed, contributing to India’s broader initiatives against drug trafficking and smuggling.
