BSF Intensifies Operation in Tripura, Detains Two Bangladeshi Nationals

Northeast Desk, 24th July: On July 23, the Border Security Force (BSF) intensified operations across Tripura, resulting in the detention of two Bangladeshi nationals who allegedly entered the state illegally. The operation, conducted in collaboration with Tripura Police, was based on specific intelligence.

According to a BSF press release, the two individuals were apprehended around 7 p.m. while attempting to cross into Indian territory in the Srinagar area of South Tripura District. The detained individuals were identified as Md Ibrahim, 45, from Noa Khali district, and Jamal Miah, 22, from Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Following a preliminary inquiry, both men were handed over to state police for further legal action. The BSF has increased its vigilance and coordination with other agencies to combat illegal migration and enhance border security.
