BSF Seizes Contraband Worth Over Rs 13 Lakh at Indo-Bangladesh Border in Tripura
Northeast Desk, 5th October: The Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura seized a significant consignment of contraband items worth over Rs 13 lakh at the Indo-Bangladesh border. Acting on specific intelligence, BSF troops successfully thwarted a smuggling attempt, confiscating a variety of items, including clothes, liquor, sugar, and other contraband, with a total value of Rs 13,55,000.
The BSF has continued to maintain strict surveillance across the border areas, actively preventing multiple smuggling attempts to ensure peace and security along the border. In a recent operation, BSF personnel, in coordination with the Tripura police, foiled another smuggling attempt involving narcotics.
During this joint operation, the forces seized a large quantity of Ganja and Eskuf, valued at Rs 4,64,288, which was intended for smuggling from India to Bangladesh. The BSF remains committed to combating cross-border smuggling activities and maintaining order at the Indo-Bangladesh border.
