BSF Tripura Apprehends Three Bangladeshi Nationals, Thwarts Smuggling Attempts

Agartala: The Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura successfully apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals near the Indo-Bangladesh border in Udaipur’s BOP Baishnabpur, following a joint operation based on specific intelligence.

The three individuals, including one female and two minors, were detained by the vigilant BSF personnel while attempting to cross the border.

In a separate operation conducted on December 27, the Tripura BSF troops successfully thwarted a smuggling attempt and seized a large consignment of contraband. The seizure included 32 kg of Ganja, 145 bottles of Phensedyl, and other items, valued at Rs 2,42,380.

Earlier, on December 26, BSF personnel had carried out a series of operations aimed at curbing border smuggling. These operations led to the apprehension of seven individuals, including three Bangladeshi nationals and four Indian touts, who were involved in illegal activities along the border.

These operations highlight the BSF’s continuous efforts to safeguard the borders, prevent illegal crossings, and disrupt smuggling activities in the region. The BSF’s vigilance and swift action have significantly contributed to maintaining border security in Tripura.
