BSF Tripura Seizes Contraband Worth Over Rs 8 Lakh in Multiple Operations

Agartala: The Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura launched a series of operations along the Indo-Bangladesh border, resulting in the seizure of contraband items valued at over Rs 8 lakh.

In one operation, the BSF personnel seized Ganja, Phensedyl, and other contraband items with an estimated worth of Rs 8,65,219.

In another successful operation, the security forces rescued cattle, which were handed over to authorities for further investigation.

This follows a series of operations on January 25, where BSF personnel thwarted smuggling attempts. In these operations, the forces seized Phensedyl/Eskuff worth Rs 1,05,606 and Indian currency amounting to Rs 19,99,000, along with rescuing cattle.

The operations highlight the vigilance of the BSF in curbing smuggling activities along the sensitive border region.
