BSF Tripura Thwarts Smuggling Attempts, Seizes Contraband Worth Over ₹25 Lakh

Agartala: The Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura successfully intercepted multiple smuggling attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh border, seizing contraband items worth over ₹25 lakh in a series of operations.

During their latest crackdown, BSF troops rescued cattle and confiscated Phensedyl/Eskuff, ganja, medicines, and other illicit goods valued at ₹9,39,614.

In a major operation on February 3, vigilant BSF personnel foiled a smuggling attempt in the Putia area of Sepahijala district, recovering 130 kg of ganja worth ₹6,50,000.

On February 2, acting on intelligence inputs, BSF troops intercepted an unclaimed consignment of clothing at Radhanagar village, under Madhupur Police Station in Sepahijala. The operation led to the seizure of 15 bundles containing 819 sarees, valued at ₹10,23,000.

BSF Tripura remains committed to combating cross-border smuggling and ensuring the security of the Indo-Bangladesh frontier through continued vigilance and proactive measures.
