Guwahati: The budget session of the Assam Legislative Assembly begins today at Dispur. The session will continue till April 1.
Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog will table the budget for 2022-23 on March 16. At least six bills are likely to be tabled during the budget session of the Assembly.
There will be 11 working days in this period. During this time, the assembly’s department-related standing committees will have their meetings.
The state budget for 2022-23 will be presented to the Assam Legislative Assembly on March 16, according to Hemen Das, Principal Secretary of the Assam Legislative Assembly.
