Guwahati, 11th September: A shocking incident unfolded in Assam’s Nalbari district as a businessman fell victim to unidentified miscreants who drugged and robbed him of cash and valuables.
According to sources, the victim, identified as Ritu Barman, was discovered in a disoriented state near a flyover in the Satikur area of Nalbari. Passersby came to his aid, providing immediate assistance.
The incident occurred while Barman was traveling from Arunachal Pradesh to Barpeta. He had stopped at a tea shop for a brief break and encountered two individuals. After consuming some of his tea, Barman suddenly felt drowsy and lost consciousness.
Barman had been missing since Sunday evening, and he was found the following afternoon on the road, shirtless and shoeless.
Upon receiving the information, the victim’s brother arrived at the scene and revealed that his brother’s Scorpio vehicle was also missing. It is suspected that the miscreants may have stolen his car in addition to cash and other valuables.
Local authorities were promptly notified, and an investigation into this distressing incident has been initiated.
