Campaign for KACC elections concludes

Guwahati: Campaigning for the impending Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) elections in Assam comes to an end today.

Voters will go to the polls for 26 KAAC seats at 906 polling sites on June 8. There are a total of 7,3298 voters that are eligible to vote.

All political parties have ramped up their election campaigns in the hill district’s many constituencies.

Many members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were seen canvassing for the candidates running in the elections.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and cabinet minister Pijush Hazarika were also spotted campaigning for the impending elections. CM Sarma attended four election rallies in Karbi Anglong on Sunday. He also expressed his belief that the BJP will easily win the elections
