CAP Sikkim Gears Up for Panchayati Raj Day and Upcoming ULB Elections with Strategic Council Meet

Gangtok: In a significant move ahead of the upcoming National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations, the Citizen Action Party (CAP) Sikkim’s All Sikkim Local Self Government Welfare Council held a strategic meeting today under the leadership of party president Ganesh Kumar Rai.

The session witnessed the participation of key party figures, including vice president Bikash Sharma, district presidents, general secretaries, council presidents, spokespersons, and other senior members. The primary focus was to chart out CAP’s roadmap for the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections and the 2027 Panchayat Elections.

According to a party release, the meeting forms part of CAP Sikkim’s broader mission to bolster grassroots democracy and strengthen local governance. Leaders discussed innovative strategies to ensure robust voter engagement and wider public participation in the electoral process.

The meeting also addressed pressing local issues, with party leaders reaffirming their commitment to community welfare and the equitable development of Sikkim. The discussions underscored CAP Sikkim’s intent to emerge as a strong force in local governance by promoting transparency, inclusivity, and people-first policies.
