Guwahati: In yet another cattle smuggling bid, Assam Police seized a cattle laden pick-up van at National Highway no 39 in Rangia under Kamrup rural district on Monday.
Three persons suspected to be involved in cattle smuggling has been arrested in connection to the seizure.
Based on specific information, Police officials intercepted the Magic pick up van and seized the cattle heads.
During the operation, at least 12 cattle heads were seized from the Magic pick up van.
According to reports, the van was heading towards Barpeta from Balikuchi when it was intercepted.
It may be mentioned that a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
