CBI Raids Delhi Dy CM Manish Sisodia’s Home

Guwahati: Deputy Minister Manish Sisodia’s residence in Delhi has been inspected by officials from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday morning as part of their probe into alleged anomalies in the Delhi Excise Policy.

Taking to Twitter, Sisodia said he will cooperate with the probe so that the truth comes out soon.

“It is unfortunate that those who do good work in our country are harassed like this. That is why our country has not yet become No. 1,” he wrote in Hindi.

Additionally, he reaffirmed that he would continue to work for Delhi’s welfare.

Meanwhile, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said that.

According to reports, the CBI searched more than 20 locations this morning in Delhi and its surrounding areas, including Sisodia’s home.

After Delhi L-G VK Saxena requested an investigation into the revised excise policy last November, the CBI filed a FIR in the issue. Sisodia gained attention because, in addition to holding the education ministry, he also oversees excise. AAP officials are said to have accepted payments in exchange for “undue financial favours” with regard to liquor licencing.
