Central Government Sanctions 181 Projects Worth Rs 6180.23 Crore for Northeastern Region
National Desk, 16th December: The Central Government has sanctioned 181 projects under the NESID (North Eastern Special Infrastructure Development) scheme, amounting to Rs 6180.23 crore, providing a significant boost to infrastructural development in the northeastern region.
Of these projects, 25, valued at Rs 956.77 crore, have been completed, while the rest are in various stages of implementation.
The Ministry of Development of the Northeastern Region allocated a total of Rs 1788 crores under NESID, with Rs 242.75 crores already utilized for diverse projects.
This initiative aims to enhance infrastructure and overall development in the northeastern states.
